Our take
The addition of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade serves as a no-commitments catch-up mechanism for subscribers ahead of the April 2027 release of Final Fantasy VII Revelation. It caps off a year of Final Fantasy titles joining the service, starting with the Pixel Remasters, ensuring most Xbox users have access to the decade's best RPGs.
Background
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the first episode in a trilogy expanding the story of the 1997 original, originally released on PlayStation 4 in April 2020. It includes the base game and the Episode: Intermission DLC, featuring Yuffie Kisaragi. The game was ported to Xbox Series X|S and PC in January 2026, supporting Xbox Play Anywhere and cloud gaming.
The second wave of October 2026 Game Pass additions includes nine titles, ranging from the RPG Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade to the detective mystery The Séance of Blake Manor. The wave also features day-one releases like Scramble Knights Online and Terrible Lizards, as well as the HD remake Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted.
These additions cap off a year of Final Fantasy games joining the service, which began with the Pixel Remasters.

Our read of the evidence
Mostly unverified. The October 29 addition rests solely on reports from gamerant.com, thurrott.com, and kotaku.com, with no confirmation from a primary source such as the platform holder. Both timeline events cited are attributed to outlet reporting rather than official statements, and the scheduled date remains listed as pending.
Our rating counts evidence, not opinions about anyone: events confirmed by a primary source (the person's own post, their official site, a court or government record) weigh most, then how many independent outlets report the story.
