Our take

The release of the launch trailer marks the final major marketing push before the November 19 release, confirming the game's imminent arrival after years of anticipation. The inclusion of specific narrative details, such as Jason's military past and the 'Flower in a Hurricane' soundtrack, provides concrete context for the story players will experience in Leonida.

Background

Grand Theft Auto 6 is an upcoming open-world action-adventure game developed by Rockstar Games, set in the fictional state of Leonida, which is inspired by Florida. The game features two protagonists, Jason and Lucia, who are involved in a criminal conspiracy. The release has been highly anticipated following several delays and leaks in the past.

The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Rockstar Games has partnered with Sony, resulting in prominent PS5 branding in the trailer, which states the footage was captured entirely on the PlayStation 5. The game's original score is composed by the French electronic music duo Justice.

Our read of the evidence

Mostly unverified. The trailer’s release on October 15 2026 is only reported by insider‑gaming.com and lacks confirmation from a primary source such as Rockstar Games itself. The November 19 release date remains pending, resting solely on the trailer’s description and not yet verified by an official announcement. Because the evidence relies on a single report with no primary‑source corroboration and a key detail is still awaiting verification, the claim is rated as mostly unverified.

Our rating counts evidence, not opinions about anyone: events confirmed by a primary source (the person's own post, their official site, a court or government record) weigh most, then how many independent outlets report the story.
