Our read of the evidence
Mostly unverified. The cancellation and the earlier Halloween update are both reported only by kotaku.com, with no primary-source confirmation from Nintendo. A single outlet provides all the reported timeline events, and the company has not yet issued its own statement on the freeze or the rescheduled date. Further details on when the event might return are still pending, according to the same report.
Our rating counts evidence, not opinions about anyone: events confirmed by a primary source (the person's own post, their official site, a court or government record) weigh most, then how many independent outlets report the story.
What happens next
Nintendo will provide further details on the rescheduled event as soon as they are finalized, according to kotaku.com.
