Our take
The omission of the game from a premium collector’s edition underscores Sony’s focus on exclusive collectibles over bundled content, potentially alienating fans who expect a complete package. This move may influence future collector’s editions and set a new standard for what is considered essential in a premium bundle.
Background
God of War Laufey is an upcoming PlayStation exclusive set to release in 2027, featuring the character Faye instead of Kratos, which has sparked online backlash.
Sony’s collector’s box for Laufey includes a light‑up resin statue of Faye, a 51‑card Oracle Deck, and a mini artbook, but does not contain a physical or digital copy of the game.

God of War Laufey Collector’s Edition Revealed Without Game
Sony’s collector’s box for the upcoming God of War Laufey is reportedly missing the game, physical or digital.[1]
Our read of the evidence
Mostly unverified. Sony announced a God of War Laufey collector’s edition that does not include the game, which drew fan reaction. The package contains a light‑up Faye statue, an oracle deck, and a mini artbook, and is listed for sale in pounds and euros. According to a report, the edition remains without the game.
Our rating counts evidence, not opinions about anyone: events confirmed by a primary source (the person's own post, their official site, a court or government record) weigh most, then how many independent outlets report the story.
